Founded by Khyati Shah and co-founded by Karan Shah in 2012, Pannkh started as a human fashion label known for innovative and experimental flair. For years, the duo explored fabric artistry through customized garments for select clients.

But by 2018, they shifted their creativity to a less explored, far more expressive domain — pet fashion. That year, Pannkh Designer Pet Wear was born, redefining how pets dress and present in both urban and cultural settings. Their designs quickly stood out — not just for the novelty but for the precision tailoring and cultural relevance stitched into each piece.

They didn’t stop at dogs or cats. The brand acquired early traction for crafting ensembles for parrots, hens, horses, hamsters, and even elephants. While most pet fashion brands stay breed-specific, Pannkh’s strength lies in its ability to design across species. Their pet sherwanis, for example, made with hand-picked brocade, cotton silks, and embroidered buttons, aren’t just costume pieces — they reflect regional craftsmanship. Each sherwani is built for ease, allowing pets to move freely while still looking regal during festivals, weddings, or pet shows.

Last year, their global aspirations took off. At the Singapore Pet Festival, they shared the stage with global brands while showcasing hand-designed Indian festive wear for pets. Now, the duo plans to enter more countries, eyeing international pet shows and expanding through retail partnerships and pop-up experiences.
